The independence of flight is what propelled John Sweeney to an airport in Lansing, MI in 1969. Now an instrument rated commercial pilot as well as a CFI, John continues to soar in the aviation world. Memorable flights include a flight in a Piper Cherokee from Michigan to Minnesota without a working VOR or navaids, luckily weather was on his side. Another includes flying a Cessna P210 to EAA AirVenture in Wisconsin; however, his all-time favorite airport is Catalina Island in California.
While his dream airplane is a Mooney M20 Statesman, John specializes in airport general liability policies for city and county airports at Aviation Insurance Resources (AIR). John’s expertise ensures that airports have the proper general liability coverage to provide protection in the case the airport becomes liable for a claim. No matter the size of the operation, AIR has the perfect solution for your airport.
